Ungaran is a town located in the Central Java Province of Indonesia. It serves as the administrative center for the Semarang Regency and is situated at an elevation of 319 metres.
The area encompasses two districts: Ungaran Barat and Ungaran Timur. As of 2024, Ungaran Barat covers an area of 35.96 km² with a population of 82,815, while Ungaran Timur covers 37.99 km² with a population of 83,610.
