Temanggung Regency is an inland regency located in the Central Java Province of Indonesia. The administrative region covers a total land area of 870.65 km2 and serves as a significant geographic area within the province.
The capital of the regency is the town of Temanggung. According to census data, the population grew from 708,546 in 2010 to an estimated 814,879 by mid-2024, with projections suggesting a further increase to approximately 821,118 by mid-2025.
