Sukoharjo Regency is a regency located in the Central Java province of Indonesia. It covers a total area of 493.23 km² and serves as part of the metropolitan zone of Surakarta, an area known as Subosukawonosraten.
The administrative center of the regency is the town of Sukoharjo, situated approximately 10 km south of Surakarta. The region is bordered by the city of Surakarta to the north, Karanganyar Regency to the east, Wonogiri Regency and the Special Region of Yogyakarta to the south, and Klaten Regency to the west.
Demographic data shows a growing population in the regency, which was recorded at 824,238 during the 2010 Census and reached an official estimate of 916,472 as of mid-2024. The built-up area of the town of Sukoharjo specifically had a population of 324,214 according to the 1990 Census.
