Muntilan

Muntilan is an administrative district (kecamatan) located in the Magelang Regency of Central Java, Indonesia. It is situated approximately 15 km south of Magelang and 25 km from Yogyakarta. The town lies on the old railway route connecting Kebon Polo station in Magelang to the main Tugu station in Yogyakarta.

The area serves as a transit point for travelers heading toward the famous Buddhist temple, Borobudur. It is also located roughly 10 km from Mungkid and 90 km from Semarang, which sits on the northern coast of Java.
