Badong County is a county-level division situated in western Hubei Province, China. It serves as the northernmost county under the administration of Enshi Prefecture and shares a border with the Chongqing municipality to its west.
The geography of the region is defined by the Yangtze River, which flows through the county. The county seat is notably positioned just east of the Wu Gorge within the Three Gorges region.
