Muara Bungo is a town located in the Indonesian province of Jambi on the island of Sumatra. It serves as the administrative capital of the Bungo Regency (kabupaten).
The town covers a land area of 9.21 km² and consists of five official kelurahan. According to the 2020 census, the population was 21,243, with an official estimate of 21,703 as of mid-2024.
