Curup is a city located on the island of Sumatra in Indonesia. It serves as the regency seat and an administrative district within the Rejang Lebong Regency, which is part of the Bengkulu Province.
The district covers an area of 5.21 km² and consists of nine administrative villages. As of mid-2024, the population of the district was recorded at 26,762 residents, while the surrounding urban area reached a population of 135,443 during the same period.
Curup is primarily recognized as a significant agricultural hub for the Bengkulu region. It is a major production center for rice and vegetables, but it is most notably known for its coffee production. The harvests from this area are distributed to several major cities, including Palembang, Jambi, Padang, Lampung, and Jakarta.
