Sigli

Sigli is a town located in the Aceh province of Indonesia. It serves as the administrative seat and capital of the Pidie Regency.

The town is situated approximately 112 kilometers south of Banda Aceh, which is the capital of the Aceh province. The urban area of Sigli encompasses both the town itself, covering 6.56 km2, and the surrounding Pidie District, which adds an additional 26.09 km2 to the region.

As of mid-2025, the town of Sigli had a population of 21,223 residents, while the broader urban area including the Pidie District supported a total of 47,764 residents.
