Lhokseumawe is a city located in the Aceh province of Indonesia. It serves as a significant regional center that plays an important role in the local economy.

The city covers a land area of 181.06 square kilometers and currently stands as the second-largest city in its province, having recently surpassed Langsa in size. According to census data, the population was 171,163 in 2010 and grew to 188,713 by 2020, with an official estimate of approximately 200,876 as of mid-2025.
