Mezőtúr is a town located in Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok county in Hungary. It is situated approximately 88 miles southeast of the capital city, Budapest, and can be reached by rail.

The region surrounding the town features communal lands used for large-scale agriculture, specifically the rearing of cattle herds and the cultivation of wheat, maize, and rapeseed. The area is also known for its important potteries and hosts several well-attended fairs on an annual basis.
