Kisvárda is a town located in the Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County of eastern Hungary. Situated within the Northern Great Plain region, it lies near the international borders of Slovakia and Ukraine. The town serves as a significant local center with a population of 16,669 people, making it the third largest town in its county after Nyíregyháza and Mátészalka.
