Pásztó is a town located in Nógrád County, Hungary. It is situated between the Mátra and Cserhát mountain ranges, positioned alongside the Zagyva river and the Kövicses creek. As of the 2022 census, the settlement has a population of 8,664 residents.

The town serves as a transit point for several major transportation routes, including main roads 21 and 28.9, and is located 28.9 km from the M3 motorway. It features its own railway station with public transport services, while an additional railway stop named Mátraszőlős-Hasznos serves the northeast part of the town and the neighboring village of Mátraszőlős.
