Óbuda is a city located in Hungary. It was one of the three distinct cities—alongside Buda and Pest—that were unified in 1873 to form the capital city of Budapest.
In the modern administrative layout, Óbuda forms a part of Budapest's third district together with Békásmegyer. While it refers to a specific area, the name is also occasionally used as a toponym for northern Buda as a whole.
