Kispest is the 19th (XIX) district of Budapest, Hungary. Located south-southeast of the historical city of Pest, it serves as one of the urban districts within the Hungarian capital.
The area was founded in 1871 on rural land situated at the border of Pest. It was originally established as a village and received its name from this location.
