Erzsébetváros is the 7th district of Budapest, Hungary. It is situated on the Pest side of the Danube River and serves as one of the city's primary urban areas.
The inner half of the district was historically known as the Jewish quarter of Pest. Today, it is characterized by its high population density, ranking as the most densely populated district in Budapest with 23,630 inhabitants per square kilometer. A notable landmark within the district is the Dohány Street Synagogue, which is recognized as the largest functioning synagogue in Europe.
