Kazincbarcika is an industrial town located in northern Hungary within Borsod–Abaúj–Zemplén county. It serves as the district seat for the Kazincbarcika District and is situated in the valley of the Sajó river.
The town is positioned approximately 24 kilometres from Miskolc, which is the capital of its county.
