Vukovar is a city located in eastern Croatia within the regions of Syrmia and Slavonia. It serves as the seat of Vukovar-Syrmia County and is the second-largest city in that county, following Vinkovci.
The city is home to Croatia's largest river port, which is situated at the confluence of the Vuka and Danube rivers. According to the 2021 census, the registered population of the city was 22,616, with a total municipality population of 23,536.
