Trpinja is a village and an eponymous municipality located in the Vukovar-Syrmia County in eastern Croatia. It is situated along the D2 state road that connects the cities of Osijek and Vukovar, positioned approximately two kilometres northwest of Vukovar.
The area is historically significant due to its role during the Croatian War of Independence. The route passing through Trpinja, known locally as Trpinjska cesta, served as one of the major battle sites during the Battle of Vukovar.
