Vrlika is a small town located in the inland region of Split-Dalmatia County, Croatia. It is situated in proximity to several larger nearby towns, including Sinj, Knin, and Drniš.
The settlement was officially granted town status in 1997. Administratively, Vrlika is classified as an underdeveloped municipality and is designated by the Government of Croatia as a First Category Area of Special State Concern.
