Grohote is a village located on the island of Šolta in Croatia. It serves as the oldest and largest village on the island and functions as its primary economic center. The village is connected to other areas by the D111 highway.
As the seat of administration for the island, Grohote houses the local school and various essential services. These include a pharmacy, post office, permanently staffed fire station, and an island hospital doctor with a dedicated helicopter landing pad. The village also features two supermarkets and a farmers market.
