Dolus is a city located in Croatia.
In Classical mythology, Dolus is also known as a figure appearing in an Aesopic fable by the Roman fabulist Gaius Julius Phaedrus. In this context, he is described as an apprentice of the Titan Prometheus.
The origins of Dolus vary among different sources of Roman mythography. According to Hyginus, Dolus was the offspring of Aether and Terra (Earth), while Cicero identifies him as the offspring of Erebus and Nox (Night).
