Otočac is a town located in the northwestern part of the Lika region in Croatia. It is situated within the Gacka river valley and serves as an administrative center for its surrounding area.
Historically, Otočac functioned as a bishopric and currently holds the status of a Latin Catholic titular see. As of 2011, the population of the Town of Otočac was 9,778, with 4,240 residents living in the town itself. The majority of the local population is Croat, accounting for 91% of the inhabitants.
