Lumbarda is a village and municipality situated on the eastern tip of the island of Korčula in Croatia. It is located approximately seven kilometers from the town of Korčula, connected by a road that passes through an area characterized by pine woods and olive groves.
The region is known for its sandy beaches, including Vela Pržina, Bilin Žal, and Tatinja, as well as its surrounding vineyards. While it serves as a tourist center where many of its 1,200 inhabitants work in the local service industry, the population also engages in traditional occupations such as wine-growing, fishing, and stone-dressing.
Lumbarda possesses a long history that is documented in written records dating back more than 2,000 years.
