Danlí is a city and municipality located in the El Paraíso Department of Honduras. It is situated at an altitude of 814 meters above sea level and lies approximately 92 kilometers southeast of the capital city, Tegucigalpa.
The region surrounding Danlí is primarily known for its production of corn (maize) and cigars. As of recent data, the municipality has a population of 214,566 people, with the urban area housing 85,075 residents and the rural area housing 129,491.
Danlí currently ranks as the fourth most populated municipality in Honduras. The demographic composition of the municipality includes 105,929 men and 108,637 women.
