Choloma is a city and municipality located in the Cortés Department of Honduras. It serves as one of the nation's primary urban centers, ranking as the third-largest city in Honduras with a population of approximately 220,300 residents.

The municipality is situated geographically between Puerto Cortes to the south and San Pedro Sula to the north. Transportation links to neighboring municipalities are primarily facilitated by private bus companies.

Choloma's economy has been significantly bolstered by its industrial sector. The city hosts numerous factories, including those owned by transnational companies, which utilize the area for production due to available cheap labor. These operations contribute to the local economy alongside various tax-free zones located throughout the country.
