Wu Kai Sha is a location situated along the shore of Tolo Harbour in the New Territories of Hong Kong. It is located northwest of Ma On Shan and falls within the jurisdiction of the Sha Tin District, one of the territory's 18 districts.
The area was formerly known as Wu Kwai Sha or U Kwai Sha. Its name roughly translates to "Black Sand Creek," a designation derived from the historical accumulation of black iron ore that traditionally flowed down from the Ma On Shan peak into the area.
