Tai Kok Tsui is an area located in the Yau Tsim Mong district of the Kowloon region in Hong Kong. Situated west of Mong Kok, the neighborhood is characterized by a mix of industrial and residential land use within its older sections.
The area was historically home to oil depots and the Cosmopolitan Dock. Recent revitalization efforts have seen the construction of high-rise residential buildings on reclaimed land to the west, which has led to an increase in local restaurants and bars. Many of the original older residential structures are currently being vacated to make way for new commercial and high-rise residential developments.
