Hagåtña, formerly known as Agana or Agaña, is a coastal village located on the island of Guam. It serves as the capital and the seat of government for the United States territory.
While it was the primary population center of Guam from the 18th through the mid-20th century, Hagåtña is currently the second smallest of the island's 19 villages in both area and population. Despite its small size, it remains one of the territory's major commercial districts.
