Zacapa is a municipality and the departmental capital of the Zacapa Department in Guatemala. It serves as one of the primary administrative centers within one of the country's 22 departments.
The city is located approximately 112 kilometres (70 mi) from the national capital, Guatemala City. It functions as a key regional hub for its surrounding department.
