Santa María Chiquimula is a town and municipality located in the Totonicapán department of western Guatemala. Situated at an altitude of 2,130 metres, the municipality covers an area of 236 km2 (91 sq mi) and has a total population of 55,013.

The town itself has a population of 15,919. While Spanish is widely spoken throughout the region, the Mayan Kʼicheʼ language is also used by the indigenous people. The local economy is primarily based on the production of corn and black beans.
