San Pablo Jocopilas is a town located in the Suchitepéquez department of Guatemala. It has a population of 16,872 and is situated approximately 8 km from Mazatenango, which serves as the departmental capital. The municipality lies east-northeast of Samayac and west of highway CA 2.
The town is known for its historical monuments, including the Colonial Church, which was selected as one of the seven most wonderful in Guatemala during a contest organized by the Industrial Bank. It also features the centenary clock of Chocolá, which dates back to 1800. Additionally, the commune is situated along the banks of the Ixtacapa River, a location that serves as a popular destination for tourists during holiday periods.
