San Marcos La Laguna

San Marcos La Laguna is a village located on the western shore of Lago Atitlán in the Sololá Department of Guatemala. Situated at an elevation of approximately 1,585 metres (5,200 ft), the town sits near the lake shore, which reaches a lower elevation of 1,562 metres (5,125 ft).

The village is positioned northwest of three volcanoes: Volcán San Pedro, Volcán Tolimán, and Volcán Atitlán. It features an outdoor amphitheater and several hostels, providing local amenities for visitors. Connectivity to other lakeside communities is established via a narrow road and by boat, with the nearest city being Panajachel on the northern side of the lake.
