San Juan La Laguna is a municipality located on the southwest shore of Lake Atitlán in the Sololá department of Guatemala. The area consists of the primary village of San Juan La Laguna along with three smaller aldeas situated in the nearby mountains. The lowest elevation point in the municipality reaches 1,562 metres (5,125 ft) at the lakeshore.
The local population is approximately 95% Tz'utujil. While agriculture remains the most significant component of the economy, the service sector has seen growth due to an increasing number of tourists visiting the region.
