Santa Maria de Jesus is a municipality located in the department of Sacatepéquez in Guatemala. Situated at an elevation of 2,070 meters above sea level, the town lies approximately 10 kilometers from the city of Antigua Guatemala and is positioned under the slopes of Volcán de Agua.
The town has a population of 21,795 residents who speak both Spanish and Kaqchikel. Its central square features a temple constructed in the seventeenth century, which is notable for its carved entry arch.
