Alotenango is a town and municipality located in the department of Sacatepéquez in Guatemala. Situated within a valley along the Escuintla road, the municipality is divided into four wards.
According to the 2018 census, Alotenango has a population of 23,358. The area is recognized as a Ladino coffee center, a designation dating back to the liberal regime of general Justo Rufino Barrios between 1873 and 1885.
