El Chal is a pre-Columbian Maya archaeological site located in Guatemala. It is situated within the upper San Juan River valley in the southeastern Petén Basin region.
The site is positioned in the municipality of El Chal, approximately 600 metres (2,000 ft) south of the municipal seat, which shares the same name.
