Jerez de la Frontera, also known as Jerez or Xeres, is a city and municipality located in the province of Cádiz within the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain. It is situated in southwestern Iberia on the Campiña de Jerez, an inland lowland plain.
The city is positioned midway between the Atlantic Ocean, the Guadalquivir river, and the western reaches of the Subbaetic System. The geography of the area is characterized by the crossing of the Guadalete River through the surrounding plains.
