Atescatempa is a municipality located in the department of Jutiapa in Guatemala. It occupies an area of approximately 80.23 km² (30.98 sq mi) and is situated near the national border with El Salvador.
As of 2023 estimates, the municipality has a population of about 20,300 inhabitants. It serves as a local administrative division within the Jutiapa department.
