Colotenango is a town and municipality located in the department of Huehuetenango, Guatemala. Situated at an elevation of 1,590 meters (5,220 feet) above sea level, the municipality covers a total area of 62 square kilometers (24 square miles).
The population of Colotenango is approximately 34,834 residents. The town hosts an annual festival held from August 12 to August 15.
