Sansare is a municipality located in the El Progreso department of Guatemala. Situated at an elevation of 790 meters above sea level, the town covers a total land area of 118 square kilometers and has a population of approximately 11,100 people.
The municipality hosts an annual festival held from September 23 to September 25. It is notably recognized for its annual bicycle race, known as the "Carretera Valle del Sare."
