San Cristóbal Verapaz is a town and municipality located in the Alta Verapaz department of Guatemala. It has a population of 20,961 and is situated approximately 29 km from Cobán, the capital of the department, and about 210 km from Guatemala City.
The town belongs to the Pokimchi linguistic area. Its primary source of income is the "Cobán" shoe factory, which specializes in the production of industrial rubber boots for both local and international markets.
