Hóra Sfakíon, also known as Sfakia, is a small town located on the south coast of Crete, Greece. Situated approximately 74 km south of Chania, it serves as the capital of the remote and mountainous region of Sfakiá. The settlement has a small population of 322 inhabitants.
The town is positioned near the end of the Imbros Gorge and features two small harbors. These ports serve as docking points for ferry boats arriving from Agia Roumeli, which transport hikers who have traversed the Samaria Gorge to buses on the northern coast during the summer months. Additionally, ferries operate from Hóra Sfakíon to the coastal village of Loutro and Gavdos island.
