Chania, also known by the romanized name Hania, is a city located in Greece. It serves as the capital of the Chania regional unit and is situated on the northwest coast of the island of Crete.
The city is positioned approximately 70 km (43 mi) west of Rethymno and 145 km (90 mi) west of Heraklion.
