Samos

Greece

Samos is a Greek island located in the eastern Aegean Sea. Geographically, it is situated south of Chios and north of Patmos and the Dodecanese archipelago. The island lies off the coast of western Turkey, separated from the mainland by the 1.6-kilometre-wide Mycale Strait.

Administratively, Samos serves as a separate regional unit within the North Aegean region of Greece.
