Spata is a town located in Greece, situated approximately 20 kilometres (12 mi) east of downtown Athens. It is integrated into the Athens metropolitan area and serves as a significant residential and administrative location within the region.
Since the local government reform of 2011, Spata has functioned as the seat of the municipality of Spata-Artemida. The municipal unit covers an area of 55.042 km2 and encompasses both the town of Spata and the surrounding administrative territory.
