Perama is a coastal town and suburb located in Greece. It belongs to the Piraeus regional unit and serves as the southwestern limit of the Athens urban area. Geographically, it sits on the southwest edge of the Aegaleo mountains along the coast of the Saronic Gulf.
The municipality covers an area of 14.729 km² and is situated approximately 8 km northwest of Piraeus and 14 km west of central Athens. Perama serves as the western terminus for the Port of Piraeus and features a passenger port that provides ferry services to Salamis Island.
