Paiania is a town and municipality situated in the East Attica region of Greece. It serves as a residential suburb of Athens, positioned approximately 11 kilometers east of the Athens city center.
Geographically, the area is located to the east of Mount Hymettus. It functions as part of the metropolitan outskirts of the capital city.
