Cholargos

Cholargos is a town and suburb located in the Athens urban area of Greece. It is situated northeast of the city proper, approximately 6 kilometers from Syntagma Square. The area serves as a residential and urban hub within the greater metropolitan region.

Following the 2011 local government reform, Cholargos became a municipal unit and the seat of the municipality of Papagou-Cholargos. This specific municipal unit covers an area of 3.950 km2. The primary thoroughfare in the town is Mesogeion Avenue, which provides a direct connection between Cholargos, central Athens, and the A6 motorway.
