Aigaleo, also known as Egaleo, is a town and suburban municipality located in the western part of the Athens urban area in Greece. It belongs to the West Athens regional administrative unit.
The name Aigaleo is derived from Mount Aigaleo, which originates from the Greek words "aiga" (goat) and "laos" (people). According to the 2021 census, the municipality had a population of 65,831.
