Kiato is a town located in the northern part of Corinthia within the Peloponnese region of Greece. It serves as the seat of the municipality of Sikyona and is situated on the Gulf of Corinth near the mouth of the river Asopos.
The area experiences significant tourist activity, primarily during the summer months. Historically, the ancient city of Sicyon was located approximately 4 km southwest of the modern town. Kiato is positioned roughly 13 km southeast of Xylokastro and 18 km northwest of Corinth.
Transportation infrastructure in the area includes the Greek National Road 8A, which passes to the southwest of the town. While the original Piraeus-Patras railway station in Kiato is now decommissioned, a new Kiato railway station serves as an interchange for Proastiakos lines connecting Athens and Aigio.
